Because Jared was at Scout Camp for his birthday, we had his party later. It happened to be about a month later, though, because we had too many busy weekends following his birthday. He still had a great time. Jared chose to do a "late night" party.
We started off with dinner. We roasted hot dogs in the back yard. Some boys jumped on the trampoline and ran around.
After dinner, Jared wanted a silly string war. Everyone kept making different rules, so by the end, it was just shoot whoever was around.
This is the whole group. I think there were about 15 boys and then my 5 kids. We had a yardful. After the silly string war, they played Fugitive. Three people are the cops, everyone else is a fugitive. The boys went down to a park a couple blocks away. Then, they have to make it back to our house without getting caught. They play this in the dark, and the cops are the only ones with flashlights. Jared loves this game.
After fugitive, we opened presents. Jared got a lot of cash. He was happy about that. Then cake and ice cream, and finally some peace and quiet for Mom and Dad. We are so glad that Jared had such a fun party, though.
