Ogden Train Station

One of my friends puts together field trips during the summer every Tuesday for anyone that wants to go. We haven't been able to go to all of them this summer, but we did go to the Ogden Train Station. We had never been there before. The kids are waiting for their train.

We toured two of the trains they have outside. This one was the mail train that used to carry mail all over the country.

The other train was a hosptial train that used to carry wounded soldiers home from WWII.

The kids loved climbing all over the trains. This train carried the torch for the Special Olympics when the Olympics were in Salt Lake City in 2002. Inside the museum they had a lot of hands on things that the kids could play on. They had minature train tracks all over. The kids loved following the trains to see where they would go.

They also have the browning museum that is included in your ticket to the train museum. We walked in there, but it wasn't too exciting. After you see a few guns, they all look the same. We didn't stay in there very long.There was an old phone booth to play in. Most kids don't even know what a phone booth is for anymore. You actually get to see three museums for the price of one. They have some old cars there. They were cool to look at, but they don't let you play on them or any kid friendly things, so we didn't stay in there long. We had a great time. It was a fun place to go.
