Gingerbread houses

LaCee had this brilliant idea to get together for Family Home Evening and decorate gingerbread houses. It was so much fun. Here are a few pictures of the evening. Ami and Brianna hard at work on their gingerbread house.
MaryAnn adding a roof to her house.
Ryan helping Heather. I love this picture.
The babies waiting for dinner.
We started out with pizza for dinner, and then we did the gingerbread houses.
We had four teams. Ryan, Heather, and LaCee did one.
This is their finished project.
MaryAnn and Luke were a team.
This is their finished project.
Ami and Brianna were a team.
I ended up with two pictures of their finished project, so you get to enjoy it twice.

Kaitlin and Jared were a team with a little help from me. I mostly just helped them put it together and put the frosting on the roof. They did everything else.
This is Kaitlin and Jared's finished project. Dave, Jared H., and Gary were the babysitters for the babies. They did a great job with that. Thanks, LaCee, for a great idea. Let's do it again next year and you are all invited. Even this morning when my kids came down for breakfast they were still admiring the gingerbread houses and talking about how much fun it was.

Sorry, Mom, about the confusion. Because I got some dumb advertising comments on the last update, I decided to make it so I have to okay the comments before they show up. So, they e-mail them to me first, and then I say okay for them to be posted.

We made gingerbread houses last year and we used the frosting that came in the little kit-not a good turnout, but lots of fun! Yours all look professional. I love reading all your blogs. It makes me really want to have a Glen Lyman reunion. I know I've said this before but I really nominate your family to put it together:) It's only Dec. plenty of time to plan one for this summer!!
