Memorial Day Weekend

Friday night and Saturday morning of Memorial Day Weekend we worked on the yard at home. On Saturday afternoon, we headed down to Fayette because we haven't been down there for awhile. It was raining there, so we decided to go to the movie, Night at the Museum II. It was a cute show. Grandma and Grandpa came with us. Sunday, we went to church, and then Ben BBQ-ed us some yummy chicken.

Grandma and Grandpa have 4 brand new baby kittens. They got played with a lot while we were down there. They even got named.

We made a visit to Great-Grandma and Grandpa Bartholomew. Michelle wouldn't stay in the picture, so this is the best one we have.

Dad had a new carving tool that Kaitlin used to carve into some wood and a rock. It's pretty cool.

It wouldn't be Grandma and Grandpa's house if they didn't play on the fort. With popscicles, it's even better.

Monday morning, Dad took us all on a hike. The kids rode in the back of the truck, and Dave and I were on the 4-wheeler.

We passed the Fayette cemetery on our way. The flags looked cool.

Just starting out on the hike. The sling shots were a big hit with all of the kids. Atleast on the way to the big trees. On the way back, the kids were a little too tired, and I ended up carrying some sling shots.

There were some really big Ponderosa Pine Trees that Dad took us to see. The kids tried to get all the way around it.

There was a little hut along the way that Dad said someone actually used to stay in sometimes. He said you used to see pots and pans and stuff lying around. After the hike, we went home and had lunch. I rode out to Redmond with Mom to put flowers on graves, and then we came home. We had a great time.
