Because our family is getting so big, it is hard to find a time when we can all be there. This year, the best time for us all to be together was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. So, our party was pretty early this year. We still had a great time, though. Everyone got to open presents. We played a few games and ate good food. Following are some snapshots of the party.
Tracie was in charge this year. The party was at my house. Tracie saw Kaitlin and Jared's violin and cello and decided to have an impromptu concert. Jared played some Christmas music on the cello, Kaitlin played something on the violin, Brianna played something on the piano, and Kevin played the piano while Jared sang. They did a great job. We will have to plan ahead next year so the kids can come prepared with something they have practiced.
Grandpa Christiansen came, too. I think he loves being around everyone, because he lives all by himself. He just sits quietly and takes in all of the chaos.
Michelle wore this cute Christmas dress, but before the party was over, she had blood on it. Somehow, she got a big gash on her forehead, but noone saw her do it. So, we aren't sure what happened. We made a trip to the doctor after the party. The doctor glued it shut and all was well. Some of the family also went to the movie theatre to see the Muppet movie after the party. That was fun, too.
