Kaitlin's birthday party

Kaitlin's birthday was on Wednesday, which is Young Women's in our ward. Plus, Dave and I were trying to get ready for the Pinewood Derby and had people coming over to weigh their cars. It was a very busy week. So, Kaitlin didn't have a party until Saturday. We went to lunch at IHOP as a family on Saturday, and then Kaitlin had some friends come over that evening. They started out the party with a gum guessing contest. They put a piece of gum in their mouth and had to guess the flavor. After that, we went on a picture scavenger hunt. Dave took a car load of girls, and I took a car load. We had a list of items that the girls needed to pose in front of and have their picture taken. It was a lot of fun. Here are some of the items they took pictures with. A tree, their reflection, a house with Christmas lights, sitting on a porch swing at a strangers house, dog poop, someone in tie-dye, a guy with a mustache, a purple car, McDonald's sign, and many many more. Michelle got a cupcake, too.

After the scavenger hunt, they came back and had Hello Kitty cupcakes and soda. It was a fun night. The bandannas they are wearing tell what team they were on for the scavenger hunt. The birthday girl.
